GERMAN NAVAL ARTILLERY VOL 1
Book Type: S, O By Miroslaw Skwiot. From a 4 volume serie this fascinating study provides an in-depth look at the German naval artillery research and development. It also gives an excellent account of the overall performance of varying type and also gives ample examples of the various artillery employed on major German vessels. Also covered is ammunition. Tables throughout the book provide the specifics and technical data for each gun. Though the book is heavy on the technical information, it is quite readable and very informative as I have never encountered much of this information elsewhere. There are at least 200 fantastic photo most are very sharp and crisp and shows everything from construction to being fired. Also included is 26 pages in full color, that displays impressive computer generated color models of the artillery, that shows not only all side but the various colors and markings. There are also some technical line drawings. A well done study. 114 pp. |
